the email read something like,

she believed every word of it until she called my brother

who answered his phone in his flat in london.

she is still very shaken.

I had a dream that you had said something,

but then again, it might not have been a dream.

i remember an exchange before you left, but it seems to have slipped into...

i don't know, i was half awake. i don't know if i was asleep or not. did i lucidly dream this something,

or did the something slip into a lucid dream thereafter? did i dream it or did you really say the something to me before you left?

i fell back to sleep after and pressed the snooze button at least four times, dreaming variants of the somethings in between.

who know's how long it had been since you'd left after (theoretically) saying the something. there are

some things that i'll never know.
